Rethinking The Kitchen Cabinet

Puustelli Smartframe^tm is the key enabler for the Puustelli Miinus cabinetry system. Smartframes replace the side panels of conventional cabinets. Intelligent use of different bracings replace solid tops and bases of cabinets, if they're unnecessary. It's why Miinus cabinets use up to 50% less material than a conventional cabinet.

Smartframes are water resistent, non-toxic, and have high levels of recycled content. Smartframes are fully recyclable, but more importantly, are designed for reuse.

All fixing points are injection moulded as part of the production process. This means there is no need to drill holes on site for hinge brackets, drawer runners, and shelf supports. Specific fixing points also exist for connecting units together.

Smartframes are made from a bio-composite material. The makeup of the material includes fibres extracted from recycled plastic, glass, wood, cloth, and hemp.
