Attended By Over 1400 Projects
The NSBRC Winter Show once again proved to be a must-attend event for self-builders and renovators, welcoming more than 1,400 projects across three days. Among the many highlights of the event was an interview with Mark Byers, co-founder of Sustique, discussing the innovative and sustainable Puustelli Miinus kitchen.
Mark and Veronica were on the Sustique stand throughout the show, engaging with over 40 different self-build and renovation projects, providing expert advice on sustainable kitchen solutions. A key focus of their conversations was the Puustelli Miinus kitchen, which was on display at the event.
In his interview at the NSBRC Winter Show, Mark highlighted what makes the Miinus kitchen truly unique, particularly its bio-composite frame. Unlike traditional kitchen carcasses, which are typically made from MDF or chipboard, the Miinus bio-composite frame is highly durable, lightweight, and completely waterproof. This makes it not only a more sustainable choice but also an ideal solution for flood resilience, an important consideration for many homeowners today.
The Puustelli Miinus kitchen is designed with sustainability at its core, using low-VOC materials, recyclable components, and a modular design that allows for easy upgrades rather than full replacements. This approach aligns with Sustique’s mission to offer beautifully crafted kitchens that stand the test of time while minimising environmental impact.
